LADDER AND ROOFTOP STORAGE
The ladder located on the rear of the RV is used to gain access to the roof to perform maintenance on the roof
mounted items. Make sure before climbing the ladder, that your shoes are not slippery and that there is no ice
or other slippery substance on the ladder.
WARNING: DO NOT climb on or walk on the roof when it is wet. The roof could be very
slippery, and cause you to slip and fall causing serious injury. The rear ladder maximum
weight capacity is 250 lbs.
WARNING: DO NOT use the roof as an observation platform as it is not designed for this
type of use. The step treads are designed as a traction aid while performing maintenance or
service to the roof and/or roof mounted accessories.
DEEP FREEZE WITH SLIDE-OUT TRAY (OPTIONAL)
The deep freeze consists of a freezer that will be located in one of the exterior storage compartments. The
freezer is mounted on a slide that will allow you to pull it out for easy access. It is a dual power unit and will
operate on either 110 volt or 12 volt. If both are available, the unit will choose to run on 110 volt. There are five
settings, 1 being warmest and 5 (freeze) being the coldest. For cleaning, defrosting, and general usage
information, please read the owner's manual that comes with the deep freeze.
NOTE:
There is not an LP option to run the freezer, so monitor your items to prevent spoiling.
AWNINGS
The manual awnings that are located on some windows around the motorhome operate by pulling down on the
awning strap, using the awning rod, to the full extended position. Underneath the window, located on the
sidewall, is a hook used to hold the awning strap while in the open position. Awnings located on the top of the
slideouts will open and close automatically with the movement of the slideout housing.
If the motorhome comes equipped with automatic awnings, there are a few important things to remember.
Read all instructions supplied by the awning manufacturer. The control buttons are located just inside the entry
door. The main purpose of the awning is to protect you from the sun, not from rain, wind, or snow.
NOTE:
If threatening weather approaches, you need to retract all awnings. If the awnings are rolled up wet,
open them back up as soon as possible to allow them to dry. Also, do not drive during periods of high winds.
