CLI Commands

The 

show media 

command displays module information including link length, vendor name, vendor part number, 

vendor revision, and laser wavelength.

[no] optical-monitor <alarm interval>

Use this command to configure monitoring for all ports (system-wide), a range or ports, or a single port. The 
<alarm-interval> variable sets the interval in minutes between the sending of alarms and messages. The default 
interval is three minutes. When monitoring is enabled, console messages, syslog messages, and SNMP traps are 
sent when warranted by optical operating conditions, and a port is enabled.

show optic port/slot_number

This command displays optical monitoring information as a result of the 

optical-monitor

 configuration command. 

Information includes:

temperature

TX  power

•

RX  power

•

TX bias current

Status values are:

low-alarm

•

low-warn
