Inspect the cover pads to check that they completely cover the springs and frame.

Make sure that the strings of the cover pads are tied securely.

Enclosure Net Safety Checks

Hold onto the pole net and check that all of the enclosure poles are steady and sturdy by shaking
them.

Check the enclosure net and pole sleeves for signs of tearing in the stitching or material.

Check the enclosure net zipper and entrance hooks for correct function.

Check that all safety enclosure hooks are attached to the triangle rings under the trampoline.

Once all of these checks have been carried out, have one person test the trampoline by jumping in the
direct center of the trampoline for 5 minutes continuously. If the trampoline feels sturdy then the
trampoline has passed the safety test.  Have fun and play safe!

Fundamental Bouncing Techniques

The Basic Bounce

1.

Start from a standing position, feet shoulder width apart with
your eyes on the mat.

2.

Swing your arms forward and upwards in a circular motion as
you push yourself up into the air with your feet.

3.

Bring your feet together while in mid-air and point your toes
downward.

4.

Keeping your feet shoulder width apart, land on the mat.

The Braking Manoeuvre

1.

Occasionally you may lose control of your jump and bounce
wildly. Performing the braking manoeuvre will allow you to
regain control of your jump and balance.

2.

Start with a basic bounce.

3.

As you land, bend your knees sharply and this will allow you
to stop your jump.

The Hands and Knees Bounce

1.

Start with a low controlled basic bounce.

2.

Land on your hands and knees, while keeping your back
straight.

3.

Emphasis should be directed at a good four-point landing, not
on the jumping height.

Knee Bounce

1.

Start with a low controlled basic bounce.

2.

Land on your knees, keeping your back straight, body erect
and use your arms to maintain balance.

3.

Bounce back to the basic bounce position by swinging your
arms upwards.

Seat Bounce

1.

Land in a flat sitting position.

2.

Place your hands on the mat beside your hips.

3.

Return to the erect position by pushing downwards with your
hands.
