Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your new product, as it contains the information
you need to become familiar with its features and obtain the performance that you expect. Please
keep this manual for future reference.
Use ONLY the power cords that were provided with the jump start system when charging, other-
wise damage to the unit may result.
WARNING
• Do not allow the positive and negative booster clamps of the jump start system to come into contact with each
other (or a common piece of metal) at any time. Sparking, an explosion or damage to the unit may result.
• When jump starting a vehicle, make sure that the positive and negative booster clamps are properly
connected to the vehicle and battery. Failure to connect the clamps properly may cause sparking, an
explosion or damage to the unit.
• Always wear eye protection when working with batteries.
• If battery acid comes into contact with eyes, flush eyes with water for at least 10 minutes. Seek medical
attention immediately.
• If skin or clothing comes into contact with battery acid, immediately wash the affected area with soap and
water. If you experience pain, redness, or irritation, seek medical attention immediately.
• Be sure to remove all metal items (watches, necklaces, rings, etc.) before using the jump start system.
• Do not expose the jump start system to moisture.
• Do not expose unit to fire or intense heat. Explosion could occur.
• Do not smoke, use cigarette lighters or matches while near a vehicle’s battery.
• Keep out of reach of children.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The jump start system has a built-in sealed lead acid battery. Although the jump start system may arrive partially
charged from the factory, you should fully charge it before the first use. Also charge the unit after each use and
every 3 months.
To recharge using the AC/DC Adapter:
Plug one end of the AC/DC adapter into the AC/DC input port of the jump start system. Plug the other end into
any standard AC wall outlet. The red charging LED indicator will illuminate to show that the unit is charging. Full
charging will take approximately 12 hours.
NOTE:
Continue charging for 2-3 hours after the green charging LED indicator turns on to get a full charge. Do
not continuously charge the jump start system for more than 36 hours.
