Welding Tips:
•
Always weld clean, dry and well-prepared material.
•
Hold torch at a 45° angle to the workpiece with nozzle about 1/2” from the surface.
•
Move the torch smoothly and steadily as you weld.
•
Avoid welding in very drafty areas. A weak, pitted and porous weld will result due to drafts blowing away the
protective welding gas.
•
Keep wire and liner clean. Do not use rusty wire.
•
Sharp bends or kinks in the welding cable should be avoided.
This machines has a 7-pin Amphenol™ style connection for connecting accessories like spool gun, foot pedal, and
amperage controlled TIG torch.
•
Spool Gun (trims WFS) – attach spool gun to Euro style MIG torch connection and then plug in 7-pin connector.
•
Double check the MIG process is selected.
•
Set correct WFS on machine.
•
Use trim wheel potentiometer on spool gun to fine adjust WFS up or down by 10% as needed.
•
Foot Pedal (adjusts amperage) – attach TIG torch to negative Dinse™ terminal and then plug in 7-pin foot
pedal connector.
•
Double check the TIG process is selected.
•
Set desired maximum current on the machine.
•
Use pedal to fine control amperage.
•
Amperage controlled TIG torch – attach TIG torch to negative Dinse™ terminal and then plug in 7-pin
connector.
•
Double check the TIG process is selected.
•
Set desired maximum current on the machine.
•
Use roller wheel on the TIG torch to fine control amperage.
