
UNIT OPERATION
SETTING THE TIMER
When the unit is operating, the timer can be used to set an automatic shut off time. If the unit
is off but still plugged, the timer can be used to set an automatic start time. If the timer button
is not pressed, the unit will run continuously.
A
UTOMATIC STARTING
:
1.
Press the TIMER
button until the TIMER ON icon
flashes on.
2.
Press the
or
buttons to set the time (1-24 hours) for the unit to turn on.
A
UTOMATIC SHUT OFF
:
1.
Press the TIMER
button until the TIMER OFF icon
flashes on.
2.
Press the
or
buttons to set the time (1-24 hours) for the unit to turn off. The
light will flah for 3 seconds showing that the timer has been programmed successfully.
AUTO MODE
This self-adjusting feature allows the unit to run in various modes as per the following :

in HEATING mode when the room temperature is below 20
o
C (68
o
F) ;

in DEHUMIDIFYING mode when the room temperature is betwwen 20 - 27
o
C (68 - 80
o
F) ;

in COOLING mode when the room temperature is above 27
o
C (80
o
F).
1.
Press the MODE
button and set until the AUTO icon
lights up.
2.
Press the FAN SPEED
button to set the fan speed.
• It is important to install the exhaust hoses when the unit is in AUTO mode.
• The TIMER may be used in AUTO mode.
SLEEP MODE

HIS MODE CAN BE PROGRAMMED ONLY FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL
.
1.
Unit must be running when using this mode.
2.
On the remote control, press on the SLEEP button till the SLEEP icon
lights up. The
fan runs at LOW speed.
3.
When in COOLING mode, the temperature will increase 1
o
per hour during the first two
hours. Then, the temperature will return to the originally set temperature.
4.
When in HEATING mode, the temperature will decrease 1
o
per hour during the first two
hours. Then, the temperature will stay 2
o
lower than the originally set temperature for 6
hours. Then, the temperature will return to originally set temperature.
5.
In DEHUMIDIFYING mode, the temperature will not change.
IMPORTANT :
If the unit is turned off while operating in Cooling, Dehumidifying, Heating or Auto mode,
upon switching it back on, allow a 3 minute delay before normal operation resumes. This
delay device is to protect and prolong the life of the compressor.
