
Charging
Note:
Move the transmission selector lever
to position
P
before charging the high
voltage battery.
Note:
When using the occasional use
charge cord plug it into the household outlet
before connecting to your vehicle.
Note:
Follow the instructions on the home
charging station when in use.
To charge the high voltage battery:
1.
Move the transmission selector lever
to position
P
and turn off your vehicle.
2. Press the indentation located on the
charge port door and the door will
rotate open.
3. Connect the charging coupler to your
vehicle charge port. You will hear a
click indicating the coupler has been
correctly connected.
4. The four light quadrants will flash
individually starting at the top right and
ending with the top left of the light ring.
This will happen twice before charging
commences.
When charging, the light ring will display
the charging status:
•
When the top right quadrant is flashing
the charge is between 0 and 25
percent.
•
When the top right quadrant is solidly
lit and the bottom right quadrant is
flashing the charge is between 25 and
50 percent.
•
When both right side quadrants are
solidly lit and the bottom left quadrant
is flashing the charge is between 50
and 75 percent.
•
When three quadrants are solidly lit
and the top left quadrant is flashing
the charge is between 75 and 100
percent.
•
When the entire ring is fully illuminated
charging is complete.
Note:
The illuminated ring will shut off one
minute after the high voltage battery
reaches full charge.
Note:
If your vehicle detects a fault during
the charging cycle the entire light ring will
flash continuously for one minute and then
shut off. If this happens disconnect and
reconnect the charging coupler. If the
problem persists have your vehicle checked
by an authorized dealer.
Disconnecting the Charging Coupler
Note:
Do not remove the wall plug from the
wall socket while your vehicle is charging.
Doing so may damage the outlet and the
cord.
1.
Press the button on the charging
coupler.
2. While pressing the button, remove the
charging coupler from your vehicle
charge port.
