LESSON 4: ELECTRICAL

Instrument Cluster 

Instrument Cluster

The Explorer and Mountaineer instrument cluster is a configurable Instrument Cluster (IC). 

•

It is essentially the same as the 2003 MY Explorer and Mountaineer with the addition of CAN communications,

the TPMS and ETC warning lamp. The IC includes:

– Microprocessor

– Stepper Motors

– Indicator lamp

– Internal circuitry

•

Except for replacing the lens and the bulbs, the IC can only be serviced as an assembly.
