Lowering load with floor jack

1) Turn the pump handle counterclockwise

VERY  SLOWLY

to open the release valve and slowly lower the vehicle onto jack stands (jack stands

not included).

2) Once repair work is completed, raise the vehicle just enough to remove jack stands (jack stands not included). Then slowly lower the vehicle

to the ground.

MAINTENANCE

Adding/changing hydraulic oil

When adding or replacing the hydraulic oil, always use a quality hydraulic oil. DO NOT use brake fluid, transmission fluid, alcohol, glycerine, de-
tergent motor oil or dirty oil as improper fluid can cause serious internal damage to the jack.

1) Make sure the lifting arm is fully lowered and the hydraulic cylinder ram is all the

way in and floor jack is placed on a level surface.

2) Remove oil fill plug (A) Fig.2.

3) If adding hydraulic oil, hydraulic oil should be filled to the bottom lip of the oil fill

hole. Refer to illustration in Fig.3. Once this is done, reinstall oil fill plug plug.

4) Hydraulic oil should be changed at least once every 3 years. If changing the hy-

draulic oil, turn floor jack upside down and drain hydraulic oil. Fill jack cylinder with
quality hydraulic oil up to the bottom lip of the oil fill hole. Refer to illustration in
Fig.3. Once this is done, reinstall oil fill plug and protective plate.

5) Pump the jack to its maximum height (fully extended), then retract the ram to purge

air in the jack. Refer to

PURGE AIR FROM HYDRAULIC JACK

.

Lubrication

Lubricate the lifting arm (A) Fig.4 spindle using using WD-40 or a similar lubricant.

Storage

When not in use, store the floor jack in a dry location with the ram fully retracted. Lock
the pump handle socket (B) Fig.6 in the down position using the metal clip (C) as
shown.
