POSITIONING WITH LASER VISOR
The person operating the device as well as the person planning the working area have to
be aware of the risks that you have when using laser beams. The working area must not
be in a direct-through area, has to be well marked and limited by a yellow stripe resp. been
surrounded by corresponding barriers.
First make sure that there is no persons present in the area designated for the testing,
then release the blocking of the unit column by means of the pedal switch, turn the visor
downwards and switch the unit on.
Search for two details as reference points in the front part of the vehicle e.g. the two
headlights itself, then turn the optical box until the two reference points correspond with
the projected line and then fi x the column in this position.
ATTENTION!
Immediately switch off the laser afterwards and then only perform possible further
operations such as an eventual testing or an adjustment of the headlights. This
laser belongs to class 3R with a wave length of 650 nm (nanometres) and a power of 3 mW
(milliwatt); in connection with lasers of that class only the direct observation with the aid of
re-enforcing optical lenses e.g. binoculars, can be dangerous. An exposition of your eye by
accident is not considered to be dangerous for that kind of laser beam, as it is in the visual
spectral range and the refl ective closing of the eye lid prevents an exposure longer than
0,25 seconds.
HEADLIGHT TESTING
ADJUSTMENT
Take a reading of the inclination measure written by the manu-
facturer on the upper part of the headlight e.g. 1,2 % and adjust
the inclination wheel on the device accordingly. If no manufacturer
data is available, consult the present law regulations.
TESTING OF LOW BEAM
Check on the testing screen whether the position of the light beam
projected by the headlight matches with the reference line, then
press the switch on the side showing the low beam symbol and
take a reading of the value displayed by the device.
