Sanding Sleeves and Discs
These sleeves and discs can be used for any
small sanding need you may have. The
drum sander (drum and sanding sleeve) can
shape wood and sand inside curves or other
difficult places.
The felt/polishing wheels need to be screwed
onto the screw mandrel. These felt/polishing
wheels must only be operated at lower speeds
and are largely used to bring metal surfaces to
a smooth finish.
When using a grinding stone for the first time,
use the dressing stone to balance it and even
to give it a special shape if desired. Grinding
stones cover virtually every possible kind of
grinding application from deburring, sharpening,
smoothing...etc.

OPERATING SPEEDS & ACCESSORIES
Operating Speeds
Set the variable speed thumb dial to a speed
to fit the job. To achieve the best results when
working with different materials, the speed of
the rotary tool should be adjusted.
To select the right speed for each job, we
suggest you use a practice piece of material.
Vary speed to find the best speed for the
accessory you are using and the job to be done.
Needs for slower speeds- certain materials
(some plastics and precious metals for example)
require a relatively slow speed because at high
speed the friction of the accessory generates
heat and may cause damage to the material.
Slow speeds usually are best for polishing
operations using the felt polishing accessories.
Higher speeds are better for carving, cutting,
routing, shaping
,
cutting dado or rabbets in
wood. Hardwoods, metals and glass require
high speed operation, and drilling should also
be done at high speeds.

OPERATIVAS Y ACCESORIOS
VELOCIDADES OPERATIVAS Y
ACCESORIOS.
Velocidades operativas
Coloque la perilla de pulgar de
velocidad variable a la velocidad que
se ajuste al trabajo. Para obtener los
mejores resultados cuando trabaje con
diferentes materiales, debe ajustar la
velocidad de la herramienta rotatoria.
Para seleccionar la velocidad correcta
para cada trabajo, sugerimos usar una
pieza de material de práctica. Varíe
la velocidad para encontrar la mejor
velocidad para el accesorio que está
usando y para el trabajo a realizarse. Los
que necesitan velocidades más lentas
– ciertos materiales (algunos plásticos y
metales preciosos por ejemplo) requieren
una velocidad relativamente baja
porque a alta velocidad la fricción del
accesorio genera calor y puede causar
un daño al material. Las velocidades
bajas usualmente son mejores para
operaciones de pulido usando accesorios
de pulido con fieltro. Las velocidades
altas son mejores para tallar, cortar,
enrutar y dar forma a frisos y ranuras
en la madera. Las maderas duras,
los metales y el vidrio requieren de
un funcionamiento a alta velocidad,
y el taladrado también se hace a alta
velocidad.

Operativa Piedras de Esmeril
Piedra de Esmeril
Cuando use una piedra de esmeril por
primera vez, use la piedra de acomodo
para balancearla e incluso darle la
forma deseada. Las piedras de esmeril
cubren virtualmente cada posible tipo
de esmerilado desde rebabar, afilar,
suavizar, etc.
Ruedas de Pulido/Fieltro
Las ruedas de pulido/fieltro
necesitan atornillarse al mandril
tornillo.
Estas ruedas de pulido/fieltro sólo
deben utilizarse a baja velocidad y
son ampliamente usadas para darle
un acabado suave a las superficies
metálicas.
Camisas y Discos de Lijado
Estas camisas y discos pueden usarse
para cualquier lijado pequeño que
requiera hacer. El pulidor de tambor
(tambor y camisa de lijado) pueden darle
forma a la madera y lijar dentro de curvas
u otros lugares difíciles.
