INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- The SR-1602 is a feedback suppressor based on the processing and analysis of content in the frequency
of the input audio signal and the elimination of components in the frequency, which produce the feedback
or link effect, through 12 high precision parametric notch filters per channel.
- The notch filter parameters are saved in the memory and are restored the next time the feedback
suppressor is used.
- The system does not need an initial setting.
- The feedback suppressor has 15 pre-set sensitivity levels, allowing the feedback detection sensitivity to be
increased or reduced.
- Follow the steps below for a correct system operation:
1.-
Switch the system on.
2.-
Depending on the input signal characteristics choose the suitable position on the
MIC IN/LINE IN
control:
MIC IN
if it is a microphone signal or
LINE IN
if it is a line signal. If you have connected a
microphone which needs phantom power supply, activate it with the
PHANTOM
control.
3.- With the
INPUT LEVEL
control, adjust the input signal level so that in the L and R level LED
indicator the signal is around -6 dBu. This is the optimum level to achieve a good sound/noise
ratio and optimum feedback detection.
Adjust the output signal level with the
OUTPUT LEVEL
control depending on the signal level required
by the mixer or power amp where the feedback suppressor is to be connected.
The
LED CLIP
indicator should not light up. If it lights up, the signal is distorted and the input signal
level must be reduced with the
INPUT LEVEL
control.
With the
MONO/STEREO
control you can choose whether the feedback detection is going to take
place only in the left channel, mono position, or in both channels, stereo position.
4.-
To process the signal and delete sound feedback, the
ON
position must be chosen on the
PROCESS
control.
In the
OFF
position the input signal is sent to the output in bypass and the processing does not take
place.
