DIGITAL OUTPUT
In addition to the analogue outputs, a high quality 16/24 bit 128 times oversampled Digital
Output may be fitted as an option. All of the following functions are available on the rear
panel.
OUTPUT FORMAT
- selectable by the DIGITAL O/P switch. When the switch is
released the output is AES/EBU format on the XLR connector. Pressing the switch in selects
SPDIF format on the RCA phono connector.
RESOLUTION
- selects 16 or 24 bit resolution from the converter. When the switch is
released, 24 bit resolution is selected. Pressing the switch in selects 16 bit resolution.
SAMPLE FREQUENCY
- two switches give a choice of four sample frequencies as
marked on the rear panel. The left hand switch selects between 44.1kHz and 48kHz, and the
right hand switch doubles the selected frequency.
EXT WCLK (WORDCLOCK) INPUT
- if an external wordclock source is fed to
the BNC connector, the MixMaster will attempt to synchronise to it. When the unit is
correctly locked to the external clock source the LOCK LED will light to indicate correct
operation. In this case the LOCK LED should be continuously lit - if it flickers this would
indicate bad jitter on the synchronising signal which would need investigation.
