Input your phone password, use Right soft key to erase any input
errors, and press
#
or Confirm
to end your input. For example, if the
phone password is set to 0000, then input:
0000
# or
0000
(Confirm)
If you forget your phone password, please contact the retailer or
authorized local service center to unlock your phone password.
2.3.6 Unlocking the SIM Card
Your SIM card is available with PIN (personal identification number)
code protection to prevent any illegal usage. When this function is
enabled, as you have set PIN code protection, every time you turn on
the phone, you need to input PIN code to unlock your SIM card, and
get your phone in normal usage. User can disable PIN code, but in
this case, illegal usage can not be prevented.
Long press End Button to turn on the phone.
Input your PIN Code, use Right Soft key to erase any input errors,
and press
# or Confirm
to end your input. For example, if PIN is set
to 1234, then input:
1 2 3 4 #
or
1 2 3 4 (Confirm)
3 consecutive incorrect inputs will get your SIM card locked by the
network, and the phone will ask for PUK code.
Note: Your network service provider will set a standard PIN (4 to
8 digit) for your SIM card, please change it into your personal PIN as
soon as possible.
2.3.7 Connecting to Network
After the SIM card is successfully unlocked, the phone will
automatically search available network (the screen displays
"Searching"). Once you get connected, the name of the network
service provider will appear in the upper middle of Text and Graphic
Area.
Note: If the screen prompts Emergency, it means you are outside
normal network (service) coverage, but you can still make emergency
call based on the strength of the signal.
The SL400 phone supports GPRS (General Packet Radio
Service). If the network service provider provides GPRS services and
your phone is in GPRS coverage, then you can use WAP service
through GPRS network.
