1.0 Introduction
This manual is intended to provide information on how to operate a Flux X-series 48V battery and maximize its
productivity, longevity, and cost saving features.
2. Flux LiFT X48 Battery Basics
2.1 Construction
Th batt y’ ma n compon nt con t of l th m-ion cells, a Battery Management System (BMS), and counterweights (if
needed). The components are encased in a powder coated 10-gauge steel enclosure. A diagram of the Flux X48 battery
and its components can be seen in Figure 1.

The lithium-ion cells are large format lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells. They are clamped together and restrained to
a blade to protect against shock and vibration. The cell interconnections are flexible bus bars providing solid and vibration
resistant connections.
