3.3.2
EXPLANATION OF SETUP-MENU 1 - PRESSURE
SETUP
FUNCTIONS
AND
VARIABLES
1
PRESSURE
1.1
MEASUREMENT UNIT
SETUP 1.1 determines the measurement unit for the displayed
pressure. The following units can be selected:
mbar - bar - PSI - mPA - PA - _ (no unit).
Alteration of the measurement unit will have consequences for
operator and SETUP-level values.
Please note that the span has to be adapted as well; the calculation is
not done automatically.
1.2
DECIMALS
This setting determines for displayed pressure the number of digits
following the decimal point. The following can be selected:
00000 - 1111.1 - 222.22 - 33.333
1.3
SPAN
With the span, the sensor signal is converted to a displayed pressure.
The span is determined on the basis of the selected measuring range
of the sensor. The more accurate the span, the more accurate the
functioning of the system will be.
Example
Calculating the span
Let us assume that the sensor generates 20mA at 18.95 bar and the
selected unit is mbar. The span is thus 18.950 mbar. Enter for SETUP
1.3: "18.950".
1.4
OFFSET
Enter the minimum pressure at which the sensor starts to generate a
signal of (0)4mA. A minus sign can be set by pressing the center and
right button simultaneously.

ALARM
2.1
PRESSURE ZERO
When the pressure signal is zero (below 4mA), then it is possible to
ignore or disable the low pressure alarm. The following settings can
be selected:
DEFAULT:
in case of a low pressure alarm and no signal, it will
switch the alarm output and indicate the alarm on the
display.
NO RELAY:
in case of a low pressure alarm and no signal, it won't
switch the alarm output but will indicate the alarm on
the display only.
IGNORE:
in case of a low pressure alarm and no signal, it won't
switch the alarm output and nothing will be indicated
on the display.
2.2
ALARM VALUE LOW
PRESSURE
The low alarm is set with this setting. An alarm will be generated as
long as the pressure is lower than this value.
With value 0.0 this function is disabled.
2.3
ALARM VALUE HIGH
PRESSURE
The high alarm is set with this setting. An alarm will be generated as
long as the pressure is higher than this value.
With value 0.0 this function is disabled.
2.4
DELAY TIME ALARM
LOW PRESSURE
An alarm generated by SETUP 2.
2 “low” can be ignored during X-time
period. If the actual pressure is still incorrect after this delay time, then
an alarm will be generated.
2.5
DELAY TIME ALARM
HIGH PRESSURE
An alarm generated by SETUP 2.
3 “high” can be ignored during X-
time period. If the actual pressure is still incorrect after this delay time,
then an alarm will be generated.
2.6
ALARM OUTPUT
TRANSISTOR /RELAY
One transistor or relay output is available to transmit the alarm
condition. Assign with this function the type of alarm to be transmitted:
low pressure alarm, high pressure alarm or both alarms.
