BASICS
In
SMART
Diode
mode,
the
meter
sends
a
polarity
‐
alternating
test
signal
through
the
diode
(no
need
to
reverse
polarity
manually).
1.
Select
‘SMART’
diode
as
shown
in
the
General
Settings
Menu
section.
2.
Set
the
function
switch
to
the
diode
position
and
use
the
MODE
button
to
select
diode
(if
necessary).
3.
Connect
red
and
black
test
leads
to
meter
and
measure
across
an
unpowered
diode.
The
meter
will
show
±
0.400
~
0.800V
for
a
good
diode,
‘BAD’
for
a
shorted
diode,
and
‘O.L’
for
an
opened
diode.
