General warnings
PLEASE NOTE!
Instructions and warnings for correct and safe use. Carefully read the
instructions and warnings in this manual and keep them for further reference
for the entire product life. They supply important instructions regarding
operation, installation safety, use and maintenance.
Disposal of Old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (Applicable in the
European Union and other European countries with separate collection
systems)
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not
be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable
collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By
ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The
recycling of materials will help to conserve natural resources. For more detailed information about
recycling of this product, please contact your local Civic Office, your household waste disposal service
or the shop where you purchased the product.
Safety warnings
1. Before installation and use, carefully read the instruction manuals.
2. Prior to use, the appliance shall be installed in accordance with the requirements in the
chapter ‘installation’, page 20.
3. The fireplace's purpose is solely to provide decorative heating. Every other application is
dangerous and prohibited for safety's sake.
4. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is intact with no signs of damage caused by
transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised KEBO Service Center.
5. Do not install the appliance directly onto (deep-pile) carpets, rugs or flammable materials, etc. in
order to prevent heat induced discoloration and the risk of fire.
6. Caution is advised if the appliance is used in a wet environment (e.g. near swimming pools,
baths or showers).
7. Never extinguish the flame using water or drip water into the flame.
8. Install the ‘Fleem® Valencia Bio-Ethanol 2.0’ in a room with a minimum of 40m³ with a good
(air) ventilation, however, ensure there are no draughts. Opening a window 2 centimetres
generally provides sufficient ventilation.
9. The ‘Fleem® Valencia Bio-Ethanol 2.0’ is intended for wall mounting and may never be moved
when the appliance is hot or in use.
10. Install the ‘Fleem® Valencia Bio-Ethanol 2.0’ using a spirit level on a steady and fully fire-proof
foundation/wall. Connect the Electra power supply to a suitable grounded outlet (230 V 50 hz
1ph).
11. Use only the 1-liter bottles with Fleem® Premium Bio-Ethanol. This bottle must be placed in the
appropriate fuel compartment and be connected with the connecting cap included with the
appliance. NEVER POUR ETHANOL OR ANOTHER LIQUID INTO THE BURNER. This will
activate the safety system and necessitate servicing by your dealer.
12. Keep any flammable materials at least one meter away from the ‘Fleem® Valencia Bio-Ethanol
2.0’.
13. Never use real wood or flammable materials in the fire. This to avoid fire risk!
14. The heater must be cooled down completely before storing.
15. Keep children and pets out of reach from the ‘Fleem® Valencia Bio-Ethanol 2.0’.
16. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
