SHAFT ALIGNMENT
HORIZONTAL MACHINES
INTRODUCTION
Shaft alignment: Determine and adjust the
relative position of two machines that are
connected, such as a motor and a pump, so
that the rotational centers of the shafts are
collinear, when the machines are working in
a normal operating condition. Correction of
horizontal shaft alignment is done by moving
the front and the rear pai
r of one machine’s
feet, vertically and horizontally, until the
shafts are aligned within the given
tolerances. A tolerance table is available in
the system.
The FIXTURLASER ECO system has two
measuring units that are placed on each
shaft by using the fixtures supplied with the
system.
