Before you call for service
“out oF bAL” (out of balance)
Wash load is out of balance.
Ensure the machine is stationary and manually redistribute the load.
Check your machine is correctly leveled (refer to pages 11 and 12).
“Sud LOC” (suds lock – I have too many suds)
The machine has a suds build-up (too much detergent may have been used for the amount of soil
in the load).
Wait for suds to dissolve (about 20 minutes).
Restart the cycle from the start (do not add more detergent).
Ensure that you are using a Top Loader type detergent.
Check the standpipe height does not exceed 94 ½” (2400 mm).
“Lid LOC” or “Lid OPn” (lid lock or lid open – I can’t lock the lid or the lid is open)
Check that the lid is closed.
Press START / PAUSE (refer to page 19).
If the symptom persists, call your Fisher & Paykel Authorized Service Agent.
“too FUL” (too full – I am overloaded)
Your machine is overloaded and cannot continue the cycle.
Ensure the machine is stationary and remove items until the remaining ones can move freely.
Check that the machine is not siphoning (refer to page 10).
Select a higher water level.
“no drn” (no drain – there is still water in my basket)
Your machine has not successfully pumped the water out of the basket and cannot continue the cycle.
Ensure the drain hose is correctly installed.
Check that the drain hose is not kinked or squashed.
Switch the washer off at the power supply for one minute. Switch back on.
Select the RINSE & SPIN or SPIN cycle and touch START/PAUSE to check if the warning has cleared.
Single beep every second and...
NUMBER SHOWS ON THE DISPLAY (this is a fault code)

Turn your machine off at the wall.

Wait 1 minute and turn it back on.

Check your machine is leveled (refer to pages 11 and 12).

Remove load and retry.

Perform a RINSE cycle or RINSE & SPIN cycle.

If the fault re-occurs repeat steps 1 and 2.
If the washer still will not work, call your Fisher & Paykel Dealer or Authorized Service Agent to
arrange service (refer to page 47).
