The Heater-Plate and/
or Water Chamber base
is warm to the touch
even though the device
isn’t being used
The power supply is located directly underneath
the Heater-Plate and in stand-by mode generates
approximately
5
W of power, which causes the
feeling of warmth. The Water Chamber is also
fully insulated by the device which can cause
heat to be retained. This is perfectly normal and
should not cause concern.
If concerned about overheating unplug the device
from the wall socket when it is not being used.
I think my chamber is
leaking because there
is a build-up of water
on the Heater-Plate
In stand-by mode the power supply can heat
the water in the Water Chamber causing
condensation to form.
Before each use remove the Water Chamber and dry
the basin of the device with a cloth. If the water
build-up becomes excessive, please contact your
Fisher & Paykel representative for further information.
I don’t think my
humidifier is working
Check the Humidity setting is above
1
. Check the
Water Chamber as it may be empty.
Refer to Section
1
, Part
2
of the Use and Care Manual
for more information on the humidity controls.
I can’t set the Novo
pressure to over
18
cmH
2
O
At higher altitude settings the motor is forced
to spin faster to deliver the set pressure. If the
altitude setting is increased high enough the
motor could reach its maximum speed which will
affect its ability to deliver higher pressures.
Check that the Altitude is set at the correct level for
your region.
Ramp mode won’t
activate
The minimum pressure may be set to
4
cmH
2
O,
if this is the case then the pressure will start and
remain at
4
cmH
2
O until an event is detected.
Ramp mode will activate if the minimum set
pressure is higher than
4
cmH
2
O. SensAwake will
activate throughout the night to give relief from high
pressures when the patient transitions from sleep to
awake states.
