Improper installation or misuse of this product can cause:
1. Failure of fireplace due to overheating
2. Combustion of materials adjacent to the fireplace
3. The emission of smoke, sparks, or hazardous gases in the house
4. Leakage of rainwater into the house
5. Cracks due to improper footings and foundations or settling
Fire Rock recommends that any chimney be inspected at least once per year by a certified chimney sweep and that
the recommendations made by that professional be strictly adhered to.

A FIREPLACE REQUIRES ADEQUATE COMBUSTION AIR. This fireplace is recommended to have an outside air
source for proper combustion and subsequent drafting of combustion by-products. The fresh air requirements of this
fireplace may have a detrimental effect on other appliances in the home. Please be sure adequate combustion air
provisions are made.
THE BURNING OF SOME FUELS MAY RELEASE CARBON MONOXIDE. Be aware that the burning of some fuels, such
as charcoal, can generate carbon monoxide. Inhalation of carbon monoxide may cause injury or death.
FireRock recommends that only homes with operating smoke detectors install this fireplace product.
