PB 42 CF - Fireplace Preparation

1 Remove the (4) knock-outs on the top of the fireplace and the (4) cover-plates located below the

knockouts (see illustration below).

2 Use snips or diagonal cutters to snip the tab on the knockouts. Press on the far side away from the tap to

pop the edge of the knockout up.

3 Grab on to the knockout with pliers and bend it back and forth until the remaining tabs break free.

Discard the knock out plate.

These 4 knock-outs will

need to be removed.

Below each knockout is a

cover plate that needs to

be removed.
