4.8.2 A return hose or pipe to the concentrate tank can be connected to the Dosing
Return Valve, making it possible to run the unit with concentrate without
creating any mixture and without consuming any concentrate, for testing
purposes.
It is strictly forbidden to include any valves in this return line
or piping as a mistakenly closed valve can lead to dangerous pressure
build-up. See also 4.9
4.8.3 WARNING!: Beware that with the Dosing Return Valve in the return
position, any flushing done (Selector valve Dosing / Flushing in flushing
position (No. 4 on Flow Chart)) will result in water being added into the
concentrate tank and possibly make it overflow.
4.8.4 For regular operation, it can be advisable to remove the handle of the valve in
order to avoid unauthorized operation of the Dosing Return Valve. Warning!:
when remounting the handle, be sure reassembled in the same orientation as
when it was removed. Incorrect installation can lead to a total blockage of the
dosing line and lead to dangerous pressure build-up.
4.9 Pressure relief valve
4.9.1 Units equipped with a DRV are equipped with a pressure relief valve, set at
factory at a standard 20bar (unless specified differently in the unit
documentation). Do not trigger the pressure relief valve on purpose, you may
simulate pressure by connection suitable equipment to the DRV valve.
The
pressure relief valve is a safety device only that will trigger in a case of
incorrect use of the DRV.
This will cause environmental discharge if the
pressure relief valve discharge port is not connected to a suitable receptacle
permanently.
4.9.2
If environmental discharge of the concentrate is unwished for
by law,
environmental concern, convenience or any other reason, the discharge port
of the pressure relief valve must be connected permanently to a suitable
receptacle.
4.10 Avoid dry running:
4.10.1 Note! Never let the FIREMIKS run dry without concentrate or flushing
water
. See 6.4.1 for more info.
