1- Operation
Dry-pipe vacuum sprinkler system - Electric release
On activation of zone 2 (
FLX-PC
®
alarm pressure) or the
activation of zone 4 (electric manual release), the system
alarm audible devices sound and if required, can be
silenced manually. The normally closed (N.C.) solenoid
valve of the system is energized, allowing the water to
escape from the priming chamber of the deluge valve.
The clapper of the deluge valve opens, filling the outlet
chamber and vacuum sprinklers piping network with water.
System water flow audible devices and the water motor
gong (if installed) will sound. The opening of a vacuum
sprinkler head will cause water to be discharged.
On activation of supervisory zone 1 (low/high pressure) or
zone 2 (valve tamper), supervisory audible devices will
sound.
Refer to figure 1 and program #1.
WARNING
! The Vacuum sprinkler system will continue to
operate until the main water inlet valve
(D1)
is manually
closed.
Note:
When zone 3 (water flow) is activated, the system
alarm audible devices sound and cannot be silenced.
.
Releasing circuit disconnect switch
A key switch located at left of the release control panel,
allows the user to electrically disconnect the N.C. solenoid
valve
(F1)
for maintenance purpose. A supervisory signal
and a trouble signal are present at the release control
panel.
When disabled, the

the vacuum sprinklers piping network, unless the main
water supply valve
(D1)
is closed.
