2.3.2 Secondary Power Source (Batteries)
The batteries must be sealed lead acid type. Before con-
necting the batteries to the FACP, make certain that the
interconnect cable between the batteries is
not
connected.
Do not connect the interconnect cable until the system is
completely installed.
Observe polarity when connecting the batteries. Connect the battery cable to J7 on the main control
board, using the plug-in connector and cable provided. The battery charger is current-limited and
capable of recharging sealed lead acid type batteries (See Figure 2.7 for battery orientation). The
charger shuts off when the system is in alarm. See page 93 for calculation of the correct battery rat-
ing.
