Connect the BACnet MS/TP or Metasys N2 RS-485 network wires to the 3-pin RS-485 connector on
ProtoNode FPC-N34 as shown below in
Figure 11
.

If the ProtoNode is the last device on the BACnet MS/TP or Metasys N2 trunk, then the End-Of-
Line Termination Switch needs to be enabled (
Figure 12
). It is disabled by default.

Connect ProtoNode to the field network with the LonWorks terminal using a twisted pair non-shielded
cable. LonWorks has no polarity.
