Interventions with flat battery
4.1
Automatic transmission - gear lever unlocking
If, in the event of a failure, the gear lever cannot be moved from
position P (Park), the following procedure can be used to
temporarily move the gear lever.

Switch off the engine.

Fully engage the parking brake.

Open the central tunnel and remove the access cover for the
gear lever release device located in the front area, in the lower
right angle, of the tunnel storage compartment.

Keep the brake pedal fully depressed.

Insert a screwdriver or a similar small tool in the access hole,
for keeping the release lever pressed forwards.

Place the gear lever in N (neutral) position.

At this point, the car can be started in N (neutral).

Refit the access cover for the gear lever release.
