Do not use your automobile until all components of the sound system have been
secured to the interior framework. Failure to do so may turn a component into a
dangeous, flying projectile during a sudden stop or accident.
Do not drill or drive screws through any vehicle interior or carpetet floor before
inspecting the underside for potential punctures to control lines or cables. Be
sure to avoid all fuel lines, brake lines, electrical cables or oil lines when
planning the installation.
Before beginning installation of the sound system remove
the minus connector from the automobile battery in order
to avoid possible short cuts.
MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
Amplifier Location
Allow air circulation around the amplifier.
The amplifier can be mounted at a dry location in the trunk or passanger compartment.
Do not mount the amplifier to any area with excessive vibration (like the subwoofer box).
When selecting a location, remember that amplifiers generate heat. Select a location
where air can circulate around the amplifier.
Do not cover the amplifier with carpet or enclose it behind interior trim panels. Every
installation will be a bit different based on the vehicle design. Check all locations and
placements carefully before making any cuts or connections.
Caution: Use care when removing interior trim panels. Car manu-
facturers use a variety of fastening devices that can be damaged in the
disassembly process.
Fuses
Please follow original fuse ratings. Never go above fuse ratings, as
they will permanently damage some components in the amplifier if
there was a fault.
Bigger is better.
Stereo installation dealers sell extra thick power and speaker wire to ensure the best
sound. 4 AWG min. is recommended for power and ground.
Professional Tip
Supplying Enough Power
Your amplifier converts power, or current, from your cars electrical system and turns
it into a high power musical energy. If the amp can't get all the power it needs it will
not produce its full output.
Make sure your vehicle charging system is in good working order.
Any Hi-Performance audio amplifier increase the demand on your alternator and
battery.
If you are unsure have your charging system tested by a professional technican.
Carefully run the power and signal cables through the passanger compartment.
Always use a rubber grommet to prevent the power wire from shorting and to
reduce the risk of fire.
To reduce the risk of noise, run all signal cables away from any vehicle or power
supply wiring.
Running the cables
Connect directly to the vehicle barttery
+terminal.
It should a fuse be installed on the
power wire within 18 inches of the
battery for safety.
Power Terminal (+12V)
WIRING
Fuse 60A
Install as close to
battery as possible
Warning: Read this Carefully
The ground wire (GND) should be connected directly to the chassis of your vehicle.
The ground connection should be clean and unpaintet. Use a wire brush to clean
the metal and a lock washer to secure contact. Protect with silicon grease or by
paint afterwards.
The ground connection cable should have a cross section that is equal to or more
than that used for the positive power supply.
The Ground !!!
Remove the Top Plate to get full access of
the mounting holes and settings.
