in the original position.
Place the blade (16) to the backing plate (17) and
push both parts back sideways into the cutting
head (15), observing correct position according
to the illustration.
Move the blade laterally, such as its side edge
is aligned with edges of the adjustable and fi xed
shoes of the planer.
Press the blade attachment system down (using
a piece of wood or gloves) and slightly tighten
the fi xing screws (20), starting from center of
the cutting head, then tighten the screws with
the torque of 8.5 Nm.
Mounting position of the blade attachment system
has been pre-adjusted in the factory, therefore no
height alignment of blades to the cutting circle is
necessary.

All maintenance and repair work which re-
quires the motor housing to be opened, must
only be carried out by an authorised service

The carpentry planer requires practically no main-
tenance.
- Lubrication for the antifriction bearings is de-
signed to last for the service life of the electric
power tool.
- However, it is recommended to remove accu-
mulated dust and chips regularly by blowing
compressed air through the motor ventilation
holes while the motor is running.
- The guide faces are to be kept clean from resins
and similar deposits.
When working under extreme conditions, e.g. plan-
ing wood with high contents of resins or moisture,
deposits accumulated inside the electric tool can
reduce effectiveness of dust and chip extraction.
WARNING
Risk of accident
Remove plug from the mains socket before
opening the housing cover (13).
Cleaning, if necessary, may be carried out af-
ter removing of the housing cover – loosen the
hexagon-head screw (25) using the wrench (21).
After the interior of electric tool has been
cleaned, replace the cover and tighten the screw
again.
When the carbon brushes are worn out, the ma-
chine switches itself off.
The cable may only be replaced in a special-
ised electrical workshop qualifi ed to per-
form such work.
To verify that the double insulation is intact,
the machine must be subjected to a safe-
ty test afterwards. Therefore, these main-
tenance tasks are to be performed only by
a professional electro-workshop
11 Storage
- The packaged machine can be stored in a dry
place without heating as long as the inside
temperature does not fall below −5 °C. The
unpackaged machine must only be stored in
a dry, enclosed space where the temperature
does not fall below +5 °C and where no extreme
temperature fl uctuations occur.
12 Environment
Do not throw the power tool in your household
waste!
Dispose of the machine, accessories and
packaging at an environmentally-responsible re-
cycling centre! Observe the valid national regula-
tions.
EU only:
In accordance with European Directive on
waste electrical and electronic equipment and im-
plementation in national law, used electric power
tools must be collected separately and handed in
for environmentally friendly recycling.
