Internal auxiliary pilot air If the operating pressure lies between 3 ... 8 bar, you can op
erate the pilot control of the valve solenoid coils with inter
nally branched pilot air. In this case the pilot air is branched
from supply channel 1 in the base block.
Please note
·
Internal pilot air for all valve solenoid coils is branched
centrally from supply channel 1. This also applies when
the CPA−SC valve terminal is operated with several pres
sure zones (see Fig.3/1).
External pilot air If the operating pressure lies below 3 bar or above 8 bar, you
must operate the pilot control of the valve solenoid coils with
external pilot air. For this purpose the pilot air is supplied
externally via connection 12/14.
Please note
·
Use closed−loop controlled external pilot air (3 ... 8 bar).
Reliable, faultless operation of the valve terminal is then
possible, e.g. even with fluctuating operating pressure.

The external pilot air for all valve solenoid coils is sup
plied centrally via pilot connection 12/14 on the left−
hand or right−hand side of the base block. This also
applies when the CPA−SC valve terminal is operated with
different pressure zones (see Fig.3/1).

Set the external pilot air to correspond to the operating
pressure (see diagrams in appendix A Technical data").
