6.5.1
Manually moving the Z-axis
When delivered, the Z-axis is secured against uncontrolled movements.
The axis locks are mounted on the drive housings.
For assembly, the Z-axis can be moved as follows.
NOTICE
Damage to product during handling or by falling.
Change in centre of gravity when dismantling the motors or a displaced Z-axis.
• Fasten the product to the mounting surface
or
Place the product with the bottom of the Y-axis on stable surfaces, e.g. mounting tables:
• Do not subject the Z-axis to stress.
• Secure the product to the bases to prevent tipping or falling.
1. If present: remove transportation locks marked with stickers from the moving parts.
2. Remove the axis locks

3. Move the Z-axis manually to the desired position.

WARNING
Risk of injury by uncontrolled movements of the Z-axis during transport and assembly.
Prior to removing the axis locks, please observe the following:
• The product is secured to the mounting surface or
• The product is positioned with the bottom of the Y-axis on stable surfaces.
• Do not subject the Z-axis to stress.
• Do not place the product on the Z-axis.
• Secure the product to prevent tipping or falling.
• Make sure that the Z-axis is secured against uncontrolled movements.
• Make sure that the Z-axis is at the bottom end position.
