8.3.3 Description: control bytes
The following tables describe the control bits of the control bytes 1 … 8.
Control byte 1 (CCON)
Operation of the EMCA is controlled for all operating modes via the control byte 1 (CCON).

Enable drive
Enable
Drive = 1: Enable drive (controller).
= 0: Disable drive (controller). The drive is stopped
with the quick stop deceleration (PNU 1029) and
the ongoing positioning task is completed.

STOP
Stop Stop = 1: Enable operation.
= 0: Activate STOP. The drive is stopped with the
quick stop deceleration (PNU 1029) and the on­
going positioning task is completed.

BRAKE
Release brake Open Brake = 1: Release brake (open).
= 0: Activate brake (close).
Note: The brake can only be released if the controller is
blocked. As soon as the controller is enabled, it has prior­
ity over the brake control system.
