Direct operation

In direct operation, the target (setpoint value 2) and the supplemental parameter (setpoint value 1) for

the positioning task are specified directly in the output data of the controller.

The positioning data are managed completely in the controller and sent directly to the EMCA via the

fieldbus.

The function is used in the following situations:

–

Unknown target positions in project engineering.

–

Frequent changes of the target position (e.g. many different workpiece positions).

–

Applications in which more than 64 positioning tasks are used.
