WARNING!
Danger of crushing. Danger of shearing.
Body parts can be crushed or severed if the product falls.
•
Use appropriate load handling equipment.

Assembly
NOTICE!
Lateral forces on the piston rod.
Damage to the piston rod bearing.
•
Avoid lateral forces on the piston rod, e.g. by external guidance of the pay
load (permitted for guided process valves only).
NOTICE!
Accidental switching signals from proximity sensors caused by ferritic materi-
als.
When linear drives are installed too close to one another, the cylindrical magnet
may cause interference with the proximity sensor on the adjacent linear drive.
•
Determine and maintain the required minimum distances from ferritic materi
als.
–
If the temperature of the medium in the piping and process valve is high, use
a heatinsulated coupling extension.
–
When mounting on a process valve/shutoff valve, follow the required pro
cedure for opening or closing the process valve/shutoff valve.
The DFPI has a mounting hole pattern as per DIN 3358.
–
If necessary, use an adapter
è
–
Use 4 retaining screws.
–
Tighten the retaining screws evenly.
Tightening torques –M8: 25 Nm ± 5% ; M10: 46 Nm ± 5%.
–
The piston rod has a male thread for mounting the slide gate. The spanner flat
on the piston rod is used for counterholding to prevent impermissible torques
on the piston rod (spanner size

Place proximity sensors in the corresponding slots. Cover rails above the slots
protect the cables away from dirt.
