Diagnosis via PROFIBUS DP
System CPX-E supports the following diagnostics options via PROFIBUS DP in the following stages according to
IEC 61158:
–
Station status (standard diagnostic information)
–
Devide-related diagnostics (general, device-related status signals of the system)
–
Identifier-related diagnostics (diagnostics assigned to the modules)
–
Channel-related diagnostics (diagnostics assigned to the channels)
–
Module number
–
Channel number and input/output
–
Type of diagnostics (error type and channel type)
2.5.1
Diagnostic steps
The necessary steps for performing diagnostics on the system CPX-E are explained below.
Step 1: Evaluation of the standard diagnostic information – station status 1 (diagnostic byte 1)

Evaluation of Bit 0 and Bit 2:
–
No operating voltage present on system CPX-E,
network plug not inserted, etc.
–
Configuration data obtained from the master does not
agree with the configuration data from the CPX-E system.
Evaluation of Bit 3:
–

The diagnostic information is sent to the master system only when the diagnostic mode is activated.
In some cases, the diagnostics mode must be shut down to commission the system.
