System communication and address assignment
For internal system communication between the modules, two strings can be implemented via the
connections [XF20] and [XF21] of the interfaces by means of connecting cables. The connection of the
connecting cables to the individual modules is made via connection [XF10]. The connection [XF20] is
available for forwarding to another module.
The addresses of the modules are assigned automatically each time the automation system CPX-AP is
started up. The interface is assigned address 1. The modules are addressed at terminals [XF20] and
[XF21] in ascending order for each string, starting with the string at terminal [XF20].
