5.3 Connecting the operating voltage
WARNING:
Use only power supply units that guarantee reliable electrical
separation of the operating voltage to IEC 742/EN 60742/
VDE 0551 with an isolating resistance of at least 4 kV.
Switched-mode power supplies may be used if they guaran-
tee reliable separation as defined by EN 60950/VDE 0805.
The operating voltage connection provides connected CP mo-
dules with + 24 V DC. The current requirement depends on the
number and type of CP modules connected. The recommenda-
tion is:

Use a regulated power supply.

When selecting the power supply unit, check whether its
available power output is adequate by calculating the total
current demand of the connected CP modules (see following
table).

Run the load power supply for the valve solenoids (Pin 2)
via Emergency Stop.
