Please note that the adjusting screw
7
has a stop only when turned in an anti-
clockwise direction.
Key to Fig. 7:
Switching behaviour of a vacuum switch
vo: upper switching vacuum (ON)
vu: lower switching vacuum (OFF)
Hy: hysteresis
Setting the
switching point
of the VPEV-...
S
Remove the connection socket.
1. Remove the protective cap
6
.
2. Turn the adjusting elements as far as
possible (for basic setting):
– turn adjusting screw
7
in an anti-
clockwise direction (setting for mini-
mum switching point)
– turn adjusting bolt
5
in a-clockwise
direction [A/F 11] (setting for maximum
hysteresis).
3. Wire the electrical connections 1 and 2
with a continuity tester.
4. Pressurize the VPEV- 1/ 8 with the desired
lower switching vacuum (e. g. - 0.5 bar).
You must check this with a manometer.
The continuity tester does not react.
5. Turn the adjusting screw
7
in a clockwise
direction until the continuity tester reacts
(desired lower switching vacuum
achieved).
