IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic safety instructions should always be followed including the
following:
1. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee maker.
3. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is operating. Keep out of reach of children or persons who are unable to
use it properly.

To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse the device or its cord or plug
in water or any other liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
6. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and above and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
7. Appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
9. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and according to the instructions of this leaflet.
10. Never use the appliance on or near hot surfaces.
11. Remove plug from wall outlet before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance cool down completely before
taking off, attaching components or before cleaning.
12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or it has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. If its main cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the nearest
authorized service center or a qualified technician.
13. Never use the appliance outdoors and always place it in a dry environment, do not expose it to moisture.
14. Never use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer. This could constitute a danger to the user and risk to
damage the appliance as it could cause fire, electric shock and injury to persons.
15. The container is designed for use with this appliance. It cannot be used on a range top.
16. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord does not hang over edge of table or counter and
cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
17. Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface. Do not place the appliance on or in or near hot surfaces or heat
sources such as gas or electric stoves, or on or near or in electric ovens or kitchenettes or microwave ovens.
18. Only use fresh (potable) and cold (moderate) water. Do not use water contained in bathtubs, washbasins or other
recipients.
19. Make sure that the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance, or any other hot surfaces.
20. Never touch the hot parts of the appliance (be careful, also the warming plate is a hot part!). Use handles or knobs
only. Only touch the carafe by the handle.
21. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with hand. Use handles or knobs only

22. Be careful not to get burned by the steam evaporating from the coffee filter.
23. Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks or has a loose handle. Only use the carafe with this
appliance. Handle carafe with extra care, as the glass is very fragile.
24. Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.
25. Never place the empty (or almost empty) coffee pot on the warming plate when the coffee machine is operating, or
on any other hot surfaces.
26. To start the appliance operating always plug the appliance to the mains first and then switch the appliance to ON
position.
27. Do not connect the coffee machine in a damaged outlet and never use it if its plug or cord shows any signs of damage.
28. Do not forget that the temperature of the coffee just prepared is high. Handle with care your coffeepot to avoid any
risk of splashes and possible burns or injury to the user.

Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycles. Be careful not to get burned
by the steam.
30. Any examination, repair, or adjustment of the appliance should be carried out only by an authorized service agent

31. Do not clean container or detachable parts of the device
with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive materials.
32. To disconnect, turn any control to “Off”, then remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the
cord.
33. Do not set a hot container on a wet or cold surface
