MEASURING
INSTRUMENTS
3.8 Measuring frequency
1. Position the function selector to "10MHz".
2. Connect the probes in series with the signal source to be checked and read the value.
3. NEVER apply more than 250V RMS in AC current.
3.9 Measuring temperature
1. Position the function selector to "°C".
2. Connect the thermocouple in the housing provided, taking care to respect the polarities
indicated.
3. Place the tip of the probe at the point you want to measure.
4. The measured value will be displayed in °C.
Measuring temperature
The tested temperature will be displayed automatically when the thermocouple is
inserted into the sampling holes.
The surrounding temperature will be displayed when the circuit sensor is isolated.
The maximum temperature that can be measured by the probe supplied is 1000 °C, but
only for SHORT periods.
3.10Diode tests
1. Move the switch to the diode symbol “
”
2. Connect the red probe to the socket V/
and the black probe to the COM socket (the
polarity of the red probe is "+").
3. This scale has acoustic function which will be activated if the resistance between the
two probes is less than 70±20
4. Connect the end of the red probe to the anode and the black probe to the cathode.
5. Read the value of the direct voltage drop of the diode on the display.
Diode tests
When the socket is not connected, "Ol" will appear on the screen.
Conditions for testing: The input DC current should be approx. 1mA, the current return
approx. 3V
