4 CALIBRATION
Before being delivered, the instrument is calibrated. For future calibration, please contact our
Technical Assistance centre without hesitation.
The sound level calibrator is ND9, while the acoustic generator is ND6, both are
optional accessories.
Position the weighting of the sound level meter to "C" or "LIN", when using the ND6
generator (piston generator) that generates a frequency of 250Hz.
5 BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the
symbol appears on the display indicating a lower voltage than 5V it is
necessary to change the batteries of the sound level meter. To change the batteries, remove
the cover (Ref. 3-16 Figure 1) and take out the batteries. Then insert 4 new 1.5V AA alkaline
batteries and close the cover.
Precautions
Do not dispose of batteries with other waste but disposed of them through appropriate
channels so as not to pollute the environment.
If the instrument is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries
to prevent them from losing power.
