2.1 Output and input plug
The output / input plug is an OPTIONAL ACCESSORY and has three main functions:
1. By connecting plug 1 to the DC output (Ref. 3-9 Figure 1) it is possible to use plug 3
(red line) as a linear output that can be used to record, print or analyse.
2. By connecting an external filter to plug 2 (black line), it is possible to use plug 3 (red
line) as a linear output that can be used to record, print or analyse.
3. When using electrical signals to test the functioning of the instrument, use plug 2 as an
input, effectively disconnecting the microphone (Ref. 3-1 Figure 1) as soon as plug 1 is
connected to the sound level meter via the output / input connection (Ref. 3-10 Figure
1).
