8. USING THE TROLLEY
Moving loads
There is a risk of crushing body parts while moving heavy loads resulting from mishandling.
Workers must be equipped with standard safety equipment, especially gloves and crush
resistant safety shoes.
Moving loads
Workers must guide the load handling machine carefully, without abrupt movements with the
utmost care.
In particular, the trolley and load must be kept under constant control during movement.
Periods of inactivity
After a period of inactivity, before starting work, each component of the trolley must be checked to
ensure it is in good condition and with no risk of breakage.
8.1 Moving loads
The transport trolleys can be used individually, for carrying loads that they can be positioned stably on
them, or they may be used coupled, for the transport of particularly heavy and bulky loads.
Transport on slopes
Pay particular attention on slopes as the trolleys are not equipped with brakes.
The drives must have adequate brakes to stop the trolley when it is fully loaded.
If the load is moved by hand the ground should NOT be sloped.
