10 OPERATION
10.1 Precautions for use
Operating the machine
 The Cut-off machine (Art. 0642) must only be used with metals and non-flammable
materials.
 Do not cut pieces of wood or other soft materials.
 Do not cut beams of dimensions exceeding the maximum permissible cutting capacity
(see Technical Specifications).
Risk of abrasion and/or cutting
 Before using the machine, make sure that it is rigidly fixed to the workbench to prevent
unwanted movement or loss of stability.
 Wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE).
As previously mentioned, the
Cut-off machine (A
RT
. 0642) can only perform vertical cuts.
The pieces in the vice can be inclined at up to 45°.
10.2 Operating the mitre saw
Cutting hazard
 Make sure the machine is in the correct configuration before starting operation.
 Check that all guards are in place and that the safety systems are operational
 Always use the grip to hold the workpiece in place.
Cutting capacity
Verify the max cutting capacity in the technical specifications according to the shape of the
workpiece
