Operation
VIII. OPERATION
Working with the log splitter (Fig. 1)
m
ATTENTION!
Only split plain cut logs.
Loosen the venting screw (7) two revolutions, before starting work.
1.
Place the splitting material horizontally along to the work table (3).
2.
Your machine is equipped with Two-handed Control System that requires opera-
tion by both hands of the user
– left hand controls the hydraulic lever (16) while
– right hand controls the On/Off switch (10).
3.
Simultaneously push the hydraulic lever (16) and the On/Off switch (10) to start
splitting action.
4.
Wait until the splitting process is ended and release then the On/Off switch (10)
hydraulic lever (16). The splitting wedge (4) is returned to the home position.
5.
Afterwards you can remove splitting material.
The log splitter will stop upon absence of either hand.
If you release the
On/Off switch (10)
the motor (11) stops.
The release of both hands means that the log pusher (2) will be retracted.
m
ATTENTION!
Check the function of the "ON-/OFF" unit before every use by switching on
and off once, as described above.
Never force your machine for more than 5 seconds by keeping pressure on it to
split excessively hard wood - the oil under pressure will be overheated and the
machine could be damaged.
For such an extremely hard log, rotate the log by 90° to see whether it can be split
in a different direction. If you are unable to split the log, this means that its hard
-
ness exceeds the capacity of the machine and thus should be discarded to pro-
tect the log splitter.
End of work (Fig. 1)
•
Release hands from the On/Off switch (10) and the hydraulic lever (16).
• Pull out the power plug from the socket.
• Close the venting screw (7).
