Seat controls
Proper seat adjustment is essential to obtain
the best driving comfort and maximum
effectiveness of the passive safety systems.
Never adjust the seat while driving,
as you could lose control of the
vehicle. Adjust the driver’s seat only when
the vehicle is stationary.
Sitting in a reclined position while
the vehicle is in motion could be
dangerous. The seat back should not
be tilted back too far back. The 3-point
shoulder/lap belt must remain fi rmly
against the occupant in order to function
properly. Therefore, both the driver’s and
passenger’s reclining seatbacks must always
be in a fairly upright position while the
vehicle is in motion; otherwise the 3-point
shoulder/lap belt would not remain fi rmly
against the occupant.
Serious injury could result!
