26-S Self-loading Stretcher
USING THE RESTRAINTS
WARNING
It is extremely important to always check the connection
of the parts before using the stretcher for either practice
or real-life situations.
To attach the 4-point restraint to the patient (417):
1. Pass the shoulder restraint over the shoulders of the patient
and arrange them until there is no contact. The connections
should be centred on the sternum or abdomen.
2. Fasten the belt by passing the metal buckle to "L" joints
and insert it into the hook buckle until it locks into position
(fig. 1).
3. Always ensure the buckle is fastened
To release the restraint:
1. Press the red release button located in the central part of
the buckle.
2. Pull the tab from the joints
To extend the restraint with the patient on board:
1. Grasp the controller and turn it until it is perpendicular
to the belt. Pull in the opposite direction to the anchor point
until the belt is of the desired length. (fig. 2)
To shorten the restraint:
Hold the sewn ends and pull the belt through the bar until it
is the desired length. (fig. 3)
