Adjusting the speed

The machine can operate at various speeds. For sawing thick metal, choose one of the two high
speeds. For sawing thin metal, choose the low speed.
• Slacken the screw (42).
• Open the cover (43).
• Slacken the nuts (44) a few threads.
• Slacken the tightening screw (45) a few threads to release the tension.
• For sawing at high speed, place the V-belt (46) over one of the front pairs of rollers (47 &
48).
• For sawing at low speed, place the V-belt (46) over the rear pair of rollers (49).
• Tighten the tightening screw as much to tension the V-belt.
• Tighten the nuts.
• Close the cover.
• Replace the screw (42).
Before tightening the V-belt, make sure that the machine is switched off and
unplugged.

• Regularly apply a drop of oil to lubricate the guide rollers on the saw band guides.
Transporting the machine

• Remove the lock screw (50).
• Align the eye (51) of the link (52) with the threaded hole (53) so that the head is locked in the
lowest position. Keep the chain as short as possible.
• Replace the lock screw.
• Carry the machine at the table (17) while transporting the machine.
Make sure that the plug is removed from the mains when carrying out maintenance
work on the motor.
The machines have been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper machine care and
regular cleaning.
Cleaning and maintenance
The machine does not require any special maintenance.
• Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
