4. Replace the Oxygen (O
₂
) Sensor
a. Unplug the red and black cable
connector by gently pulling the
white fastener out the end of the
red O
₂
sensor. *Do not use the
cables to pull
b. Unscrew the O
2
sensor
(counterclockwise).
c. Gently screw in the new sensor
(clockwise) four full turns stop
when you feel resistance

do
not overtighten
, threads will
strip and prevent the sensor
from working accurately.
